Design

AAV Plastics partners with businesses of all sizes, offering technical support from concept to production. By engaging with our design partners early in the product design process, we help reduce time and cost to market. Toolmaking

AAV Plastics offers in-house and overseas tool design and manufacturing, combining CAD/CAM expertise with collaborative input from toolmakers to optimise performance and cost. We specialise in low-volume aluminium tooling and can support complex designs with intricate moving features. Our kit tool system offers cost-effective solutions for low-volume production.

Injection Moulding

Equipped with 11 machines (25–330t), we mould parts from 0.5g to 1kg+ in a wide range of materials, including high-performance and filled polymers. Our skilled team handles complex tooling, overmoulding and tight tolerances. Quality is ensured through ERP-driven processes, gold-standard sampling, ISO9001:2015 and UL746D certification.

Low-cost Tooling

At AAV Plastics, we specialise in cost-optimised aluminium tooling, manufactured in-house. Our use of 7000-series tooling-grade aluminium has proven to be exceptionally durable with some tools still running reliably after more than 600,000 cycles.

Through our unique kit tool system, AAV retains ownership of the mould base, while the customer only purchases the cavity plates and ejector system. This significantly reduces capital expenditure, making it an ideal solution for technical validation, market trials, or low-to-medium volume production.

Our aluminium tooling approach allows products to reach market faster, with lower upfront costs without compromising on quality or longevity.
